Heartsaver CPR/AED

“About 5,800 children 18 years old and under suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrest each year from all causes – including trauma, cardiovascular causes and sudden infant death syndrome.” – American Heart Association

A classroom course that teaches basic CPR and AED skills such as:
• Giving CPR to an infant, child, or an adult
• Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Using a mask or barrier device

The course provides employee training for:
• Designated first responders
• Individuals needing credentialed training for job or regulatory requirements
• Select departments or an entire workplace

During the course, an AHA Instructor conducts video-based lessons and works with students to complete their CPR and AED skills practice and skills testing.

Which Class?

Family & Friends CPR

“Studies have shown that children as young as 9 years old can learn and retain CPR skills.” – American Heart Association

This course offers basic CPR training in a dynamic group environment. This course uses the research-proven “Practice-While-Watching” method to provide students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.

This course teaches lay-rescuer skills in CPR and relief of choking in adults, children, and infants –plus child-safety strategies—to everyone from schoolchildren to adults and people at risk of sudden cardiac death. No certification card is issued for this course.

Who should take this class?

• Those who want to learn CPR and do not require certification
• Community groups and organizations, such as: parent/teacher associations, workplace wellness programs, neighborhood associations, middle and high school students

Course Content:
• Adult and child CPR and choking
• AED (Automated External Defibrillator) demonstration
• Making the Emergency Call

• Infant CPR and choking
